The rumblings around the blogosphere say there are a good bunch of folks planning on doing the Buffalo Wallow 6K. If you're planning on running, leave a comment.

Hmmm..I thought I was doing the Rocket Run that day (hey, free Rockets tix), but I may have to change my plans.

The wearther may not be good that day. I am hoping that my petition to participate in the race on a treadmill will be granted. I would like to be able to exercise, read the paper and eat a bucket of chicken while racing. Cross your fingers.

The weather may not be that good that day.

I'm in! Pizza Pants says it's lots of fun. TX Runner Girl, you need to do it so all your new Strider buds can meet you!

I'll be out there. Lesson learned last year -- don't wear your new shiny white shoes. :)

Not sure about the Buffalo Wallow, but I'll be doing July Bug's 3 mile warmup and 3 mile cooldown to ensure she both does the Wallow and gets her 10 miles in.

Vic,
You could run the first 5 races of the HARRA Spring Series, get the Ironfoot award and still be easily ready for the Pig.

Getting an Ironfoot award and being in primo ability for the Pig race. It's a win/win!

Think about it.

Yikes, the whole series? Pretty tough with my long runs on Sunday. I know, I know. Just run the series races as training runs. We'll see.

Not the whole series. There are 5 races that count out of the 7. And you could even volunteer to one of them and it'd be 4. One of them is even on a Wednesday night.

You're probably not running consecutive weekends of mid-teen long runs, so some would be on an off weekend. You could practice your water stop abilities.

So then, you'd have an Ironhead and an Ironfeet award. And through the year you'd be working on an Ironass and an Irongut.
