Vic, marathoner! or Bessie, something's missing again!

Well, I just got out of one of Bessie's patented ice baths and I seem to have lost "something" again. Oh, well, I guess it was worth it. Maybe it'll show up later this week, if I'm lucky.

I'll post a bunch of stuff later but for now, suffice it to say, I AM A MARATHONER!!! I finished!!! I did it.

More later after nap and enchaladas and nachos and ultimate cheesburger.

Yes yes yes!!! So happy to hear you finished and are a marathoner!

Jose and I were waiting around mile 25.5 and we left around 1:00 (couldn't stay longer, but I wanted to!!). I had been tracking you and got an update as you went through halfway right around 6-hour pace. But I never got an update from 30K so I was very worried something had happened to you!

SO GLAD to hear that you DID IT. You are awesome.

Vic- I am so so so so proud of you! I remember when I used to see you at PIM and you couldn't run b/c of your injury. You said it felt like you would never get here. It's taken a lot of hard work, but YOU DID IT! There is nothing you can't do! WAY TO GO!!!

Vic,

Way to go man!! The key to those ice baths is to make sure that the wife does not walk in on you...that might really hurt chances of "recovery training" over the next week!!

The Vic train just keeps rolling. I really enjoy hanging on for the ride. I cannot wait to hear your play by play account! AWESOME! Chugga-chugga, chugga-chugga, chooo-woooo...!

I'm so proud of you, Vic!! I had been following your progress most of the day, and I couldn't get any more updates after the halfway mark. I was beginning to worry...

Enjoy and savor the moment and the glory afterward. It's all yours!!

Never, for a minute did I think you would quit. Your will and determination are second to none. What a day for the vic'ster. Well done.

Bill

Ps. Yes, I was there to see you finish. It took me about 10 minutes to make it back to the GRB/finish line, but the doors were locked. Through the glass, I saw you were already half way down the building. My knees and ankle were/are in bad shape and I wasn't able to "chase" after you.

I never understood why Vic would go through all that pain, agony, and perserverance just to finish a Marathon. But now I do understand it. Finishing was a goal for him, and as Vic said to me, "If I can finish the Marathon, I can do anything"!

You finished and I am proud of you!
Wow! Go, Son.
